Based on a design from a very popular retailer, we built this pair of console tables that have a great balance of heft on top with sleek, simple legs. The substantial 4" thick top was achieved by making a strong box frame and wrapping the sides and ends with 100% Sycamore. A doubled-up base with 8 legs hold it all up. The wood for these tables came from 1 tree, ensuring color matching and looks right at home, brightening up the room and complementing Walnut floors.

These tables were from quartersawn Sycamore for the tops finished in matte water-based poly and 1" square black steel frames.

The gray tones from the floors get picked up in these tables, and the lighter brown tones brighten up the room.
